准备安装介质： 一张包含SCO_UNIX 5.0.4的光盘，一张SCO_UNIX 5.0.4的启动盘（软盘）。

插入软盘，打开计算机电源开关，在屏幕下方显示：

按回车键继续， 在软件装载时，进展情况会显示到屏幕上。 类似如：

按回车键继续安装, 在屏幕下方会显示如下信息：

- 按回车键继续安装, 在屏幕上出现如下信息：
1）. Media devive to be user这个选项用于选择安装介质，本系统选 IDE CD ROM, 如果默认的不是所需要的介质，可按空格键选择。屏幕类似如下：

IDE CD ROM

本手册假设安装介质为 IDE CD ROM 。（注意， 该选项不同，其下所需要的选项信息会不同。 ）
2). IDE Controller 这个选项用于选择安装介质（光驱）所连接的硬盘控制线，选项有两个：
primary
secondary
本手册假设安装介质连接在 primary线上。
3). Master or Slave这个选项用于选择安装介质（光驱）的跳线，选项有两个：
master
slave
本手册假设安装介质的跳线为 slave。
- 上面选项正确后，会提示你插入光盘（如果选项不正确，请重新启动机器，在启动过程中，系统会提示光驱所联接的位置,参见第二步。）,屏幕显示如下：
Insert your installation CD-ROM in the
CD-ROM ….
Accept above choices
- 插入光驱后，选择“OK”，系统会提示选择所使用的语言，
如果默认的语言不对，可按空格键选择 US English。

按回车键继续安装,系统提示输入版权信息：
在License Number后面的“Type in”处输入： 2EI047274 （第四位的0为数字零）
在 License Code 后面的“Type in”处输入： mmvgqjxa -
按几次回车键继续安装,系统提示这次安装是更新系统（Upgrade）还是重新安装系统(Fresh)。

选择 Fresh （重新安装系统）。
-
系统提示再确认一次：
Select OK to continue. Select Cancel to review or
change your answers.

选择OK ， 继续安装，系统会提示输入基本配置：
如果内容与上不同，对于“System name” 和 “Domain name”可输入，对于“Security profile”和“Language”可按空格键选择（注意：对于Time zone选项，如果按空格键，系统将出错，因此，该项不要改）。
13．这一屏选完后，继续安装，出现提示：
如果选项与上不同（第三个选项可能不同），可按空格键修改。
14． 选择完毕，继续安装，会弹出屏幕提示：
If the installation instructions for your database

15．继续按回车键即可，将出现屏幕画面：

对于Hard disk setup选项，按空格键修改内容，：
确保其二级选项的内容为：
Disk 0,2012MB. Partitions & filesystems: Use whole disk for UNIX
Disk 0 bad track type: Thorough/Destructive
如果不是，按空格键修改。
在选择Use whole disk for UNIX 时会出现一屏信息提示，回车后，出现提示：
* WARNING *
The entire contents of your hard disk will be erased.
Are you sure you want to erase the contents of the disk ?
选择“Yes”，整个硬盘的内容将全部被删除，系统回到以前的屏幕：
Preparing your disk and choosing software

Accept above choices
如果选项的内容与上面的显示不同，请重新修改。
- 选择完毕，继续安装，会出现类似如下屏幕提示：
Network card: Deferred
Network address: No networking card configured
Video and graphics: IBM VGA
Mouse: No mouse configured
Email system: MMDF
Accept above choices
如果选项与上不同，可按空格键修改。对于熟练者，想在此安装网卡，“Network card”选项可按需选择。
17． 选择完毕，继续安装，系统提示输入口令屏幕：
Setting your root password

在Type in 处输入口令 “11111111”（八个一）。回车后，会提示重新确认口令：
Please type again to confirm: Type in
在Type in 处再输入口令 “11111111”（八个一）
确认后，系统弹出屏幕,提示系统安装将不再被干预：
The installation can now proceed unattended.
……
选择“OK”，系统开始安装，大概需要一个半小时左右，安装过程中，屏幕会显示安装信息及安装进度。。
选择“Cancel”，系统不安装。
18． 如果选择OK安装，系统安装完后，屏幕出现提示：
Installation and initial configuration of
SCO OpenServer Enterprise System is complete.
……

按回车键继续，在屏幕的下方会出现提示几行提示,大意是“当出现 ‘Power Off or Reboot’ 时，将软盘取出，按任意键重新启动系统。

屏幕最后提示：

** Press Any Key to Reboot **至此，SCO_UNIX 5.0.4系统安装完毕，可关闭电源，或按任意键重新启动系统。
- 修改时区:
用root用户登录后,运行 tz 命令，画面如下，其中黑体字为需输入的。

reboot 修改完后，重新启动机器。
第三节 网卡的安装
一、NE2000兼容网卡的安装
1. 用DOS启动盘启动计算机，利用网卡的随机盘设置网卡的中断和IO地址。用root用户登录后，运行如下命令：

==》 选择 Hardware → Add new LAN adapter
==》 选择Novell Ne2000
中断号: 3 ，IO地址: 0x340
网络产品： SCO TCP/IP，I P address: (如： 130.130.5.21 )
未列出的项选默认值。
其后所有选项均回答“y”，连接核心后，重新起动。
二、D-Link DFE-530TX 以太网卡的安装
- 用root用户登录到SCO UNIX 后，运行如下命令：
- 拷贝 d5B.IMG 文件到 SCO OpenServer 并改名为 VOL.000.000
mkdir /usr/test
doscp a:/scoopen/d5B.IMG /usr/test/VOL.000.000
3. 执行 "custom"命令
#custom
出现安装界面:
选择 “Softwore” 后再选择 “Install New ……” 项,再选择 “From dicbc2”按回车,在Media Device:中输入安装时的目录 “/usr/test”即可进行安装。安装完后。进入#提示符输入netconfig 命令。
# netconfig 进行网卡设置。
第四节 Dialogic语音卡的安装
一、安装前的准备工作
在安装前，先记录下Dialogic语音卡硬件资料，例如中断号码、语音卡型号、语音通道数目等信息。本说明中假设所使用的语音卡为D/41D型，使用中断号为5，语音通道为4个。
中断为5时，语音卡的中断跳线如下：
二、开始安装
1． 将语音卡插在ISA插槽。
2． 开机后，系统提示选择启动模式时，不要按Control+d进入普通模式，
而应直接输入roo帐户的登录口令（ 11111111 ）进入单用户工作模式。
3． 输入安装命令：
installpkg
按屏幕提示插入语音卡安装软盘后，按回车键。屏幕显示如下：
Confirm
Please insert the floppy disk
……
Strike ENTER when ready
or ESC to stop
4． 插入软盘并回车键后，系统出现不要将软盘拿出等提示。之后，提示：
Confirm the device number you wish to install from ((default)0,1):
- 上述提示是要你确定系统所用的软驱编号，默认是0，既A驱。选默
认值，回车即可。系统相继出现提示：

上述两项都选默认值，回车即可。系统提示：

10． 上述提示选择所使用的语音卡型号，及安装该语音卡的数量。
本说明中假定语音卡的型号为 D/41D，安装的数量为1。因此，当出现如下显示时，输入1，其他类型的卡均选默认值0（回车即可）。

三、语音卡的测试
1 . 为了语音卡的测试，重新启动机器，
# init 0
系统提示选择启动模式时，按Control+d进入普通模式，以roo帐户登录，口令为 11111111 ，进入多用户工作模式。
在启动过程中，将看到以下信息，可初步确定语音卡安装正确：

1 dialogic voice board successfully installed .
2 ． 进入语音卡测试程序所在的目录：
cd /usr/dialogic/dx_demos/ansr
